集計方法
当サイトは数値を公表する媒体です。その数値がどう作られているかを、隠さずに書いておきます。報道機関の世論調査でいう「調査概要」にあたるものです。
何を数えているか
記事ごとに、5つの感情リアクション（怒り・笑い・悲しみ・驚き・応援）から1つを選んだ票を数えています。数えているのは当サイトで投じられた票だけです。他サイトのコメントや反応は一切含みません。
誰が投票できるか
登録不要で、どなたでも投票できます。1つの記事につき1端末1票です。同じ端末から投票し直した場合は、前の票を新しい票で上書きします（票数は増えません）。
端末の識別には、当サイトが発行するランダムなCookieと、画面サイズ・タイムゾーンなどから作った短いハッシュ値を組み合わせています。これは完全な仕組みではありません。Cookieを消して投票し直す、複数の端末から投票するといった行為は技術的に可能です。そのうえで、Cloudflare Turnstileによる自動化対策を併用しています。
有効票の定義
分布の下に出している n は、その記事に対して有効に記録されている票の総数です。上書きされた古い票は含みません。
国・地域の判定
投票時に、Cloudflareが接続元に付与する国コード（CF-IPCountry）を記録しています。IPアドレスそのものは保存していません。VPNやプロキシを経由している場合、実際の所在地とは異なる国が記録されます。
国・地域別の内訳では、票数が3未満の国・地域は「その他・不明」にまとめています。少数の票からその人が特定されることを避けるためです。国が判定できなかった票も同じ枠に入ります。
年代・性別の内訳
年代と性別は、投票時に任意でご登録いただいた方の分だけ数えています。答えていない方も母数には含まれ、「未回答」として必ず表に出します。未回答を隠すと、内訳が実際より確かなものに見えてしまうためです。
票が5未満の区分は表示しません。そこから個人が推測されうるためです。表示しなかった票数は図の下に書き添えています。また、属性どうしの掛け合わせ（年代×国、性別×年代など）は行いません。条件を絞るほど、少人数の区分から個人の特定に近づくためです。
登録内容はお使いの端末に保存され、その後の投票にも自動で使われます。いつでも「回答しない」に戻せます。
「意見が割れています」の判定
一覧に出しているこのラベルは、5つのリアクションへの散らばり具合（正規化エントロピー）が0.85以上で、かつ有効票が20票以上のときにだけ表示しています。
どのリアクションが多いかは表示していません。投票前に多数派が分かると、それに引きずられて答えが変わってしまうためです。「多数派がいない」という情報だけなら、合わせる先が無いので投票への影響はありません。
トップに大きく出す1本の選び方
直近48時間に公開された記事のうち、票が最も多く集まった1本を選んでいます。編集部が「重要だ」と判断した記事ではありません。当サイトは記事本文を扱わないため、記事の重要度を判断する立場にありません。該当する記事が無い場合は、最新の1本を代わりに置いています。
「報道からの時間と反応」の作り方
記事の公開時刻からの経過時間で票を6つの区切り（1時間以内／1〜3／3〜6／6〜12／12〜24／24時間以降）に分け、区切りごとの構成比を出しています。
投票を変更された場合は、変更後の時刻で数えています。当サイトは1人1票を上書き方式で保つため、途中で意見が変わった履歴そのものは保存していません。したがってこの図は「各参加者の最終的な回答を、最後に答えた時刻で並べたもの」であり、同じ人の心変わりを追跡したものではありません。
票が5未満の区切りは、数票で割合が跳ねてしまうため描いていません。描ける区切りが1つしか残らない場合は、図そのものを表示しません。
コメント欄の扱い
コメントは、その記事に投票された方だけが書き込めます。投票を先に置いているのは、分布を見る前に自分の反応を決めていただくというサイトの順序をコメントでも崩さないためと、自動化された書き込みを抑えるためです。読むだけであれば投票は不要です。
同じ端末からの投稿は10分間に3件までです。各投稿に出る ID:xxxxxx は、その記事の中だけで同じ方の連投を見分けるための符号で、記事が変われば別の符号になります。
異なる端末から3件の通報が集まった投稿は、運営が確認するまで自動的に非表示にします。非表示は削除ではありません。削除・非表示にした投稿は、その位置に「削除されました」と表示し、投稿があったこと自体は消しません。詳しくは利用規約・削除ポリシーをご覧ください。
他言語の投稿は「翻訳を見る」を押されたときにだけ機械翻訳し、結果を保存して次の方にも使います。全件を先に訳すと、読まれない投稿の翻訳に無料枠を使い切ってしまうためです。コメントは票数の集計には一切含めません。分布はリアクションの票だけで作っています。
SNSに表示される画像
記事のリンクをSNSに貼ったときに出る画像は、その時点の反応の分布をそのまま描いたものです。見出しはSNS側が文字で表示するため、画像には文字を入れていません。まだ票が無い記事では、既定の画像を使います。
更新のタイミング
記事の取り込みは30分ごとです。記事ページの分布は投票のたびに集計し直しているため常に最新ですが、一覧に出ている投票数は最大30分ほど古い場合があります。
この数値の限界
当サイトの参加者は、世の中全体を代表するものではありません。ここに来て投票する人には、年代・関心・情報源・使用言語に強い偏りがあります。表示している割合は「このサイトに来て投票した人の反応」であり、世論調査の結果ではありません。
また、票数が少ないうちは数値が大きく動きます。参考にされる際は、必ず n の値をあわせてご確認ください。
訂正について
集計や表示に誤りが見つかった場合は、修正したうえで、何をいつ直したかをこのページに追記します。不正な投票が確認された場合は、該当する票を除外して再集計します。
Methodology
We publish numbers, so we owe you an account of how they are made. This is the equivalent of the survey notes a newsroom attaches to a poll.
What we count
For each story, votes choosing one of five reactions: anger, laughter, sadness, surprise, or support. We count only votes cast on this site. No comments or reactions from anywhere else are included.
Who can vote
Anyone, without an account. One device, one vote per story. Voting again from the same device replaces your earlier vote rather than adding to the total.
Devices are identified by a random cookie we issue, combined with a short hash derived from values such as screen size and time zone. This is not airtight: clearing cookies or using several devices will let the same person vote more than once. We run Cloudflare Turnstile alongside it to limit automated voting.
What counts as a valid vote
The n shown beneath each distribution is the number of votes currently recorded for that story. Replaced votes are not included.
Country and region
We record the country code Cloudflare attaches to your connection (CF-IPCountry). We do not store IP addresses. Traffic through a VPN or proxy will be recorded under a different country than where you actually are.
In the country breakdown, any country or region with fewer than three votes is folded into "Other / unknown", so that individuals cannot be identified from a handful of votes. Votes with no detectable country go into the same bucket.
Breakdown by age and gender
Age and gender are counted only for people who chose to tell us. Everyone else is still part of the total and always appears as "No answer". Hiding the non-responses would make the breakdown look more certain than it is.
Groups with fewer than five votes are not shown, because individuals could be inferred from them; the number of votes withheld this way is noted under the chart. We also never cross-tabulate attributes (age by country, gender by age, and so on): the narrower the filter, the closer a small group gets to identifying a person.
Your answers are stored on your own device and reused for later votes. You can switch back to "prefer not to say" at any time.
How "opinion is split" is decided
This label appears only when the spread across the five reactions (normalised entropy) is 0.85 or higher and the story has at least 20 valid votes.
We never show which reaction is leading. Knowing the majority before you vote changes what you pick. Knowing only that there is no majority gives you nothing to conform to, so it does not affect your answer.
How the lead story is chosen
The story published in the last 48 hours that has attracted the most votes. It is not a story an editor judged important. We do not handle article text, so we are in no position to judge importance. If no story qualifies, we show the most recent one instead.
How "reactions over time" is built
Votes are grouped into six buckets by how long after publication they were cast: under 1 hour, 1–3, 3–6, 6–12, 12–24, and after 24 hours. We then show the share of each reaction within each bucket.
Changed votes are counted at the time they were changed. Because we keep one vote per device by overwriting, we do not retain a history of someone changing their mind. This chart therefore shows each participant's final answer, placed at the time they last answered — not a trace of individuals shifting position.
Buckets with fewer than five votes are omitted, because a couple of votes swing the percentages too far. If only one bucket survives, we hide the chart entirely.
How comments work
Only people who have voted on a story can comment on it. Voting comes first so that the site's order — decide your own reaction before you see the distribution — holds for comments too, and because it makes automated posting harder. Reading requires nothing.
A device may post three times in ten minutes. The ID:xxxxxx on each post identifies repeat posts by the same author within that story only; it changes from story to story.
A post reported by three separate devices is hidden automatically pending review. Hidden is not deleted. Removed or hidden posts leave a marker in place, so we never erase the fact that a post existed. See the terms and moderation policy for the full process.
Posts in another language are machine-translated only when someone asks for it, and the result is stored for the next reader — translating everything up front would spend the free quota on posts nobody reads. Comments never affect the numbers. Distributions are built from reaction votes alone.
The image shown on social media
The picture attached to a shared link is the story's distribution at that moment, drawn directly from the votes. It carries no text, because the platform renders the headline itself. Stories with no votes yet fall back to a default image.
Update frequency
We fetch new stories every 30 minutes. Distributions on story pages are recalculated on every vote and are always current; vote counts in the list may lag by up to 30 minutes.
Limits of these numbers
Our visitors are not a representative sample of any population. People who come here and vote are heavily skewed by age, interest, media diet, and language. The percentages show how people who came to this site and voted reacted — not the result of an opinion poll.
Numbers also swing a great deal while vote counts are low. Please always read them together with n.
Corrections
If we find an error in how we count or display these numbers, we will fix it and record on this page what was corrected and when. Where manipulation is confirmed, the affected votes are excluded and the story recalculated.
